The Live BMS app has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. On its own it talks directly to your batteries over Bluetooth and keeps your history on your phone. If you add the optional Live BMS Link, your own battery readings pass through our server so you can see them remotely — nothing else does, and none of it is tied to your name, your email, or anything that identifies you.
Deleting the app deletes this local data. Without Link, nothing reaches us; with Link, only the battery readings described below pass through our server.
The optional Link relay is what makes remote monitoring possible. If you choose to use one, the readings from the batteries you point it at travel over your Wi-Fi to a cloud relay so your phone can read them when you're away. That data is limited to battery telemetry and the device identifiers needed to route it to your account, and it is not sold or shared. Using the app without a Link means no data leaves your phone at all. This section will be expanded with specifics before any hardware ships.
livebms.app is a static site hosted on Netlify. There are no forms, no sign-ups, no cookies set by this site, and no analytics or tracking scripts. If you email the address below, I have your email — that's the only way this site learns anything about you. Netlify records standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) as part of serving the site.
Live BMS is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any material change will be noted in the app's release notes.
